Jean-Louis Forest holds an engineering diploma from the famous french “Ponts et Chaussées” school completed with an MBA from “College des Ingénieurs” in Paris. He started his career in logistics field within Renault automobile and was Head of long-term planning. He joined Air France in 1997 and held various positions in pool management, component and engine overhaul, customer support and business development.
More recently he has led the purchasing teams as VP Procurement of Air France Industries. Currently Senior Vice President for Engine Services within AFI, he supervises both MRO operations, engineering and engine fleet monitoring and commercial operations. He is also member of the Board of different subsidiaries within Air France KLM. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in the implementation of two new plants in component overhaul and engine maintenance with “Single roof” project in Paris Orly, to extend the Air France KLM engine capabilities to Leap 1A & 1B, Pratt PW 1500 and Rolls Trent XWB in the near future. He is also keen to develop new managerial approaches, including “teaming” combined with lean management.
