Profile

Matthias heads the engine parts repair department at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg. In this department we apply a wide range of repairs processes, including technology intensive repairs like laser drilling a combustion chamber or electron beam welding of engine cases. Current focus is on ramping up both shop capacity and repair capability for new engine types LEAP and GTF. Matthias holds a degree in mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen. Prior to joining Lufthansa Technik in 2016, he worked at Toyota and McKinsey. He is married and a father of two daughters.
