As Customer and Product Support General Manager for Europe and Africa at GE Aviation, Olaf is responsible for leading the support teams for all products and customers, implementing a regional strategy to develop the next level of customer engagement and driving issue resolution for these customers in the region.
Olaf joined GE Aviation in 2005 as a Customer Support Manager based in Europe after working for several years for a German engine maintenance provider. Since that time, he has led the GE Customer Team for a major Japanese customer and worked in Sales as a Sales Support Director and Sales Director. In 2015, Olaf was named the Regional General Manager of Commercial Operations for Europe and Africa commercial engines and services sales. Most recently, he was the Customer and Product Support Regional General Manager for Europe, Russia and Central Asia.
Olaf has a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, both from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
