Gijs Gielen was appointed Associate Director Marketing for Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines in 2019. In his role he leads the Aftermarket Marketing team, and New Engine Business Marketing for the China region.

In his most recent roles he served as Industrial Manager with responsibility for aligning Commercial Engines’ industrial requirements and as acting Program Manager for the PW10XXG Engine Program for the Boeing NMA, with responsibility for all aspects of program execution. From 2017 to 2018 he also served as Executive Assistant to the President, Commercial Engines, and to the Senior Vice President, Commercial Engines Programs.

Gijs joined Pratt & Whitney in 2010 as project engineer for the GTF Program, before transitioning to a role in Commercial Engines MarketingIn 2016, Gijs served as Customer Fleet Director in Customer Support, with responsibility for one of Pratt & Whitney’s largest V2500 operators.

Gijs holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands.
