As Director Engine Product, Network and Industrial Development, Roy de Vries is responsible for the AFKL Group Engine Strategy. He leads the development of strategic initiatives across all group locations. Main topics are on the engines used material flow, repair, market forecasting, approaches covering the entire value chain (including M&A) with the objectives to achieve a sustainable growth for the group engines business and enabling savings and improved competitiveness and strategic positioning of the AFKL Engine MRO.
With over 25 years of Experience within KLM and with knowledge of Long Term Network Development, Ground Operations and Engine business he knows about airline operations. In his previous position as General Manager Customer Service in the KLM Engine Shop he was responsible for the customer portfolio including the shop load and made several steps in a more customer centric mindset.
He was also responsible for major Business change programs like the implementation for AFKL of a worldwide Departure Control system and the implementation of a crew roster system for KLM Subsidiary Transavia Holland.
Roy holds an Engineering Degree in Logistic Management and Industrial Engineering from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences
